Catatan ABSTRAK : Diarrhea is a common problem in calves and buffalo calves, although diarrhea can also occur in adult animals. Many pathogens such as bacteria could cause diarrhea. Most farms that have been exposed to diarrhea causing pathogens will largely determine the health status of their animals. Ruminants diarrheas are commonly caused by more than one factors or pathologic agents. In this study, the faecal samples taken from cattle or buffalo suffered from diarrhea were collected from some areas in Indonesia such as Kabupaten Bandung, Kabupaten Sukabumi in West Java province and Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara in South Kalimantan province. Several bacterial agents causing diarrhea have been isolated such as Escherichia coli and Clostridium perfringens. Clostridial alpha and beta toxins were detected from intestinal contents of calves died of necrotic enteritis.
