Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are one of the complementary dishes that contribute highly in Indonesia. The high contribution requires an increase in productivity. One of the reasons for the low productivity of shallots is the use of poor quality seeds. The seeds used must be broken, the dormancy period is marked when cutting 1/3 of the green shoots are visible. If the tubers have not been seen, it is necessary to do longer storage which has an impact on the shrinkage of the water content in the tubers. Utilization of golden snail pests as bio-ZPT auxin can be used to break the dormancy period of tubers. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of gold snail pests as bio-ZPT auxin to break the dormancy period of shallot bulbs with different shelf life. The design used in this study was a randomized block design (RAK) which consisted of 4 treatments with 6 replications, namely tubers with a shelf life of 2 months without immersion in bio ZPT auxin snail mas (P0), tubers with a shelf life of 1 month with immersion (P1), tubers with a shelf life of 1 month with immersion (P1), store 2 months by immersion (P2), tubers shelf life of 3 months by immersion (P3). The soaking process was carried out before planting, namely, the end of the tuber was cut by 1/3 of the end of the tuber and then soaked with bio ZPT auxin gold snail: water (500 ml: 500 ml) for 3 hours. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 24 software at a level of 5%. Bulbs with a shelf life of 2 months by immersion in bio ZPT auxin of golden snails had a significant effect on early shoot growth (cm), plant height (cm), number of tillers (clumps), number of leaves (strands) and tuber wet weight (g).
