Peningkatan kandungan bahan organik tanah merupakan faktor penting dalam pemanfaatan tanah Ultisol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompos tankos yang diperkaya berbagai dosis abu boiler terhadap sifat kimia tanah Ultisol. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari: Kontrol, KA00 (kompos tankos diperkaya 0% abu boiler), KA05 (kompos tankos diperkaya 5% abu boiler), KA10 (kompos tankos diperkaya 10% abu boiler) dan KA20 (kompos tankos diperkaya 20% abu boiler). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kompos tankos diperkaya abu boiler dapat memperbaiki sifat kimia tanah Ultisol, yaitu pH tanah serta kandungan C organik, P tersedia, K-dd, Ca-dd dan Mg-dd tanah meningkat sejalan dengan peningkatan dosis abu boiler yang ditambahkan pada kompos tankos. Kata Kunci: Kompos, Abu Boiler dan Ultisol. ABSTRACT Ultisol is widely used as agricultural land. Improvement of soil organic matter content is important factors in utilizing Ultisol. One of organic fertilizers that can be potentially used to increase Ultisol productivity is oil palm empty fresh fruit bunch (EFB) compost. This research was aimed to determine the effect of EFB compost enriched boiler ash chemical properties of Ultisol. The research was arranged in a randomized complete design consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were namely : Control (untreatment), KA00 (EFB compost), KA05 (EFB compost enriched 5% boiler ash), KA10 (EFB compost enriched 10% boiler ash) and KA20 (EFB compost enriched 20% boiler ash). The results showed that aplication of EFB compost enriched boiler ash could improve the chemical properties of Ultisol, ie pH and C-organic, P-available, K-exchangeable, Ca- exchangeable and Mg- exchangeable. Their increased similar with increasing boiler ash dosage added to compost. Keywords: Compost, boiler ash and Ultisol Eliartati
