The Indonesian agency for Agriculture Research and Development have developed many innovative technologies which can be grouped as: management of agriculture resources, technologies for rice and secondary crops production, technologies for estate crops production, technologies for livestock production, technology for horticulture crops production, and technologies for agro-industry. Management of Agriculture resources includes: the important of water to support food security in remote small islands, nutrient potency on post eruption volcanoe, technologies to improve soil fertility in swampland and dryland, the use of local resources as organic fertilizers, and tool kits for detemining fertilizer recommendation. For rice, as a staple food for Indonesia, and secondary crops such as peanut, cassava and maize, the innovative technologies includes: new varieties, pest and diseases control, inter-cropping and intensive planting season. In horticulture, the innovative technologies covers new varieties, pests and diseases control, and the use of tisssue culture for rapid multiplication of planting materials; whereas for estate crops such as cocoa, pepper and clovers, the innovative technology are mostly on cultural techniques. In production of livestock such as cattle, goats, and poultry, the innovative technologies include new breds, feedstuff nutrient, and diseases control.
