This research was aimed to know an effect of type packaging and storage temperature on the quality of okra seeds (Abelmoschus esculentus). This research conducted on February until July 2017 at Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) Jakarta. Research was arrange in Split Plot Compeletly Randomized Design with 2 factors. First factor was temperature with 2 levels, there were: room temperature, low temperature. The second factor was Type of Package with 3 levels, there was: Control, Aluminum foil vacuum, aluminum foil without vacuum, plastic polypropylene vacuum and plastic polypropylene without vacuum. Each treatment was repeat 4 times, so there were 40 experimental units. Some parameters observed were seed moisture content, vigor index, germination, growth rate, shoot length and root length. The results showed that the packaging plastic polypropylene without vacuum gave the best result to vigor index (97.40%), germination power (98,00%), speed of growth (6,60%) and sprout root length (9,46 cm). Room temperature gave the best result to vigor index (97,40%). germination power (95.00%), speed of growth (6,49%) and sprout shoot length (9,46 cm). And the interaction of these two factors did show of vigor index at the 1st and 2nd month, germination power of the 4th month, and speed of growth of the Ist and 4th, The best treatment of seed quality in storage is the use of polypropylene plastic packaging without vacuum at room temperature.
