Catatan ABSTRAK :Serological tests have been used for vaccination program evaluation. It was found out that the high antibody titre of dogs determined the degree of protectivity to canine distemper disease. By using ELISA measuring antibody titre, the epidemiology of canine distemper in endemic areas and in areas conducting vaccination program can be studied. Until now, canine distemper vaccination program havent been evaluated. F.m the ELISA results, it was revealed that most of dogs in West Java and Jakarta have been exposed to canine distemper except dogs in West Java rural areas. The high antibody titre of vaccinated dogs were found in Pacet, Cianjur district. It seems that some of vaccination program gave good results, which were reflected by high antibody titres. In areas which clinical canine distemper were reported Jakarta, Bogor District and Bogor Regency, the high antibody titre was found in 30, 29.6 and 19 percent of dogs respectively for each area. / Uji serologi untuk evaluasi program vaksinasi distempe

Tingginya titer antibodi sangat menentukan tingkat kekebalan anjing terhadap penyakit distemper. elalui uji ELISA ternyata dapat dipelajari epidemiologi penyakit distemper di daerah tertular dan daerah yang melakukan program vaksinasi. Selama ini program vaksinasi dan studi epidemiologi penyakit distemper belum pernah dievaluasi. Hasil ELISA menunjukkan bahwa anjing di daerah Jawa Barat dan DKI Jakarta telah terpapar penyakit distemper kecuali di lingkungan pedesaan Jawa Barat. Persentase tertinggi titer antibodi anjing yang telah divaksin terdapat di wilayah kecamatan Pacet kabupaten Cianjur. Terlihat bahwa beberapa program vaksinasi memberikan hasil yang baik, dan tercermin dari tingginya titer antibodi. Dari daerah yang sebelumnya secara klinis dilaporkan adanya distemper pada anjing, yaitu DKI Jakarta, kabupaten Bogor dan kotamadya Bogor didapat bahwa masing-masing secara berurutan sebesar 30,29,6 dan 18 persen anjing di daerah tersebut mempunyai titer antibodi yang tinggi.
