Catatan ABSTRAK :Organochlorine (OC) and organophosphate (OP) pesticide residues had been detected in forty samples blood sera of beef cattle which where collected from the farmers in Blora and Wonogiri. These samples were analysed using gas chromatography (GC). Total OP residues in sera of Blora and Wonogiri were higher than total OC residues (Blora was 77.062 vs 3.997 ppb and Wonogiri was 64.976 vs 10.549 ppb). While meat, fat and liver samples collected from traditional markets in Blora showed that the total OC residues was lower than OP in meat (10.9 vs 18.5 ppb), but its residue was lower in fat (35.22 vs 4.5 ppb) and liver (0.14 vs 0 ppb). On the other hand, samples from Wonogiri, OC residues were detected in all samples of meat (6.3 ppm), fat (4.95 ppb) and liver (17.5 ppb), but OP residue was only detected in the liver sample (15.6 ppb). These residue levels were below the maximum residue limit (MRL). This result assumed that pesticide residues in blood sera especially OC residues tend to accumulate in animal
