Diagnosis can be made based on clinical symptoms, serology examination, gross pathological lesions and isolation and identification of MS organisms. Macrolide antibiotics can be used for treating MS infection although the result is not satisfied. Biosecurity, sanitation and vaccination programs can be used for the prevention and control of the disease. These efforts are important to prevent the incoming and spreading of MS organisms into the farm. Vaccination is the best choice for prevention of the disease, and it is hope that the routine vaccination can be used as a tool for eradication program of MS infection in the future.
