Abstrak Twocasesof tuberculosis in cattle havebeen studied usinghistopathological techniques. Lesionsconsistent with tuberculosis were observed in the lungsand several lymph nodes in aFriesian-Holstein cow and in the spleen and liver from an Ongole cow. Characteristic lesions of caseation necrosis, calcification, giantcell formation and fibrosis were observed in all the organs.Diagnosis wasconfirmedby special staining usingZiehl-Neelsen. Thedifferent routes of transmission namely respiratoryin thedairycow, and alimentary in thebeef cowwere discussed.
