Taeniasis and cysticercosic are zoonotic diseases. These diseases had certain geographic distribution areas in Indonesia, there are; Papua, North Sumatra (Samosir), Bali, Lampung, West Sumatra, South Sulawesi, and Nusa Tenggara Timur. Taeniasis and cysticercosic are caused by tapeworms from Taenia sp. T. solium and T. saginata that also attack pigs, cows and human. Pigs that raise extensively with bad sanitation, and had less meat examination from veterinarian will need isolation and multiply antigen in order to detect the disease. One of the ways to identify the disease is doing a serologic test. The examination of animals from slaughter hause of Denpasar, Bali; 69 Landrace pigs and 36 Bali cows are resulted negative. The inoculation of eggs of Taeniasis sp from human to 4 local pigs with dosage of 10,000 egg each animals has been done and the result is negative to cysticercosis.
