done. They purposed to evaluate alantoin ability to accelerate wound (incision)
healing process on rabbit. Urine collected from vesica urinaria of slaughtered
cattle in Surabaya Slaughter House. Meissner's method used for alantoin isola-
tion and crystallization from cattle's urine. The powders (alantoin powder) ana-
lyze by Infrared Spectrometry (JASCO FT/IR 5300) for specific identification. Com-
parative identification with commercial alantoin as standard showed the powder
was identically. Both of alantoins (alantoin urine and commercial) made into solu-
tion 0.4 %. Each solution used topically. The result showed that time of wound
healing responds within control (without therapy) and alantoin treatments (both of
alantoin therapies) have significantly difference (p<0.01).  aARTVET0469
