Diagnosis toksikologi pada Balai Penelitian Veteriner dalam tahun 1983 text 1985 Penyakit Hewan Vol.17(29) p.287-291 One hundred and five samples were received at the Toxicology section for analysis in 1983. Most of the samples came from West Java and East Java. Many samples were in transit too long to be analysed. Fifty on bovine samples were received, but only three from buffalo. The number of samples received per month fluctuated, but no causal factor was identified. The commonest type of sample received was rumen content which was not always the most appropriate sample and it did not travel well. Seventy five percents of samples were not accompanied by a request for a specific analysis. It is stressed that the role of toxicological analysis is to confirm a tentative diagnosis. Problems in the diagnostic toxicology service are identified and suggestion made for improvements. Ginting, Ngepkep; Stoltz, D.R.; Yuningsih (Balai Penelitian Veteriner, Bogor (Indonesia)).
