The disease had been affecting Tegal,Bali and Alabio ducks in several areas of the country, including Java, Bali, Lombok, South Sulawesi, Kalimantan and Lampung. The clinical signs of the disease were: enlargement of the sinus/sinuses (63 percents of the birds affected), conjunctivitis (48 percents), nasal discharge (33 percents). Sneezing ang coughing were encountered in very rare cases. Congestion in the sinus walls (95 percents) and airsacculitis (87 percents) were the commonest pathological findings in the carcases of the diseased animals. Prevalence of the disease was variable from 4 percents up to 100 percents with six week old ducklings being mainly affected. Influenza virus was isolated from the respiratory organs of suspected animals.
