The clinical signs of the disease were very similar to the avian influenza. The virus isolate was then identified by RT-PCR using primer NP-1200f and NP-1529r that amplified nucleoprotein gene of all influenza virus of poultry, man, pig and horse, and using 15 pair of H1-15 primer that amplified haemagglutinin antigen (HA) of avian subtype. The result of RT-PCR showed that both of the genes of Legok isolate were amplified with NP-1200f and NP-1529r pair and H5-131f and H5-580 pair primers. The result indicated that the Legok isolate was an avian influenza subtype H5N1. 0aPCR -- Electrophoresis -- Layer chickens -- ISOLATION -- JAVA -- Avian Influenza Virus -- Gene -- Agglutinins
