Summary (en) Classical swine Fever (CSF) is hightly contagious viral disease of swine. The CFS virus (Hog cholera Virus) is toxonomied as RNA virus of pestivirus genus. In 1995-1996, there was an outbreak in Indonesia and had caused great economic losses in pig farm industries. At present, in viro amplification of nucleic acid by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is mostly used by the researcher since this method is more senstive, specific and faster than previous methods. In this study Reserve Transcription-polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) method was used to detect RNA virus of Classical swine Fever. some specimen of swine organs and sera were taken from slaughter house and some of outbreak areas. collected samples were isolated for RNA by phenol method DNA complementation was synthesized with specific primer and then continued by amplication of polymerase chain reaction. Specific primer (324/326) gave an agarose electropoetic fragmen result in position 288 bp for pertivirus genus. PCR method was found to be easy, efficient and relatively less time consumed to diagnose Hog cholera.
