Development of a whole cell vaccine From Pasteurella Multocida Field Isolates: Studies On Immunogenicity Of Field Isolates Siti Mariana text Bogor BBPMSOH 2000 vol. 7, no. 1, p. 1-5 en 7 tables.; 7 ref.: Summary (En) Trivalent whole cell vaccine from P. multocida Indonesia field isolates was produced from sidoarjo strain (serotype 1), p.1059(serotype 3) and Bali strain (serotype 4). This vaccine efficacy was tested and compare to a similar commercial vaccine in hybro layer chicken against challenge with virulent field and reference strain. The anti body response in both vaccinated chickens were measured by Elisa technique. The result from this study showed that there was no significant difference (P=0,147) in the mean antibody level detected by Elisa between the trivalent field isolate and a commercial vaccine. However the trivalent field isolate vaccine produced slightly better protection against challenge with virulent field isolate.
